8 Volunteers

200 Doors Knocked

Purpose:  Young Philanthropists went door-to-door to educate voters in Ward 8 about their voting rights on Election Day and gave those residents that needed them, rides to the polls.

15 Volunteers

Purpose:  To support Whitman-Walker Clinic in day-of logistics for their annual AIDS Walk.  Funds raised from the walk supported efforts to provide medication and resources to low-income DC residents living with HIV and AIDS.

Garfield Elementary School – DC’s Ward 7

Purpose:  To assist teachers with gettting ready for the first day of school.  Volunteers painted, landscaped, cleaned and organized classrooms in preparation for student’s first day of school.

30 Young Philanthropists

Purpose:  Volunteer to sell bratwursts at the Safeway BBQ Battle; $1 of each sale was donated to Capital Cause grant fund.

Outcome:  $1000 raised to support Capital Cause Grants program
