Fifty Capital Cause Young Philanthropist Members received reserved seating tickets to the 50th Anniversary Ceremony for the March on Washington Let Freedom Ring Ceremony.   Together they listened to President Obama give a speech in the same place Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke 50 years ago, and shook hands with Oprah, Jamie Foxx and Benjamin Jealous.  President Clinton and President Carter also spoke during the ceremony and challenged those attending to respect the work done in the past, but to invest time into the present toward making the future a better place.

Says Kezia M. Williams, Chair and Co-Founded of Capital Cause, “Capital Cause is forever grateful to the Council for their generous gift to Capital Cause Young Philanthropists.  I speak on behalf of our 50 members when I say we were thoroughly inspired to givee more after hearing remarks from such inspiring political leaders. We are fired up and ready to serve!”

Capital Cause is thankful to the Council for the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington for providing our members with this special gift!

“It was exciting to be part of such an historic experience and I will carry the memories for years to come. I had a wonderful time and it was fantastic that I was able to partake in it because of my membership with Capital Cause. When I became a member, it was enough to know that my membership fees were going towards supporting good causes. However, it really speaks to Capital Cause’s commitment to its members that when opportunties like this come up they extend the benefits to their membership.” said member, Camille Smith.
