RECAP: #CCPipelineProject – 20 Volunteers Host Future Philanthropist Fair for US Dream Academy Youth

On April 25, 2014, Capital Cause hosted its final Pipeline Project with the “right now” changemakers enrolled in the U.S. Dream Academy.  By hosting a Future Philanthropist Fair, we involved children in giving their time, talent and treasure through implementing fun field day activities including a treeasure hunt, a talent show and a time “relay” race.
The Capital Cause Pipeline Project with the US Dream Academy has been a eight-month project involving 119 volunteers, who created activities which were used by U.S. Dream Academy mentors to help children: develop a strong character, identify positive role models, cope with fear and learn how to be catalysts of change in their community.

The program was implemented remotely by Capital Cause for seven months, and finally on Friday April 25, 2014, Capital Cause hosted our culminating event, the Future Philanthropists Fair!  Over 20 volunteers served at the Future Philanthropists Fair held at Turner Elementary School in Washington, DC, and had an opportunity to personally serve with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at U.S. Dream Academy teaching them how to give back time, talent, and treasure to others in need.

As we close out our inaugural year of the Pipeline Project, we want to say THANK YOU to those volunteers who were served and make sure we capture the thoughts, suggestions and opinions of those who volunteered with us.

Have you volunteered at a Pipeline Project over the last eight months?  Make sure to take the survey HERE & sign-up for a future Pipeline Project!
